The Division of Elementary and Secondary Education, Child Nutrition Unit (CNU) offered a grant program to offer children in schools an opportunity to have fresh fruits and vegetables through school leader grant application. The Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP) is a United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) program which provides reimbursements for fresh fruits and vegetables served to students during the school day, outside of the lunch and breakfast meals. Dumas Middle School was recently awarded the grant. Pictured is Principal Rodgers and members of the staff distributing fresh fruit to students!
