Today at REED Elementary School, we honored National Librarian Appreciation Day, recognizing the outstanding dedication of our very own, Ms. Julie Moore. We feel fortunate to have one of the best! We are thriving at Reed, fueled by a shared passion for reading! 📚📖
Paraprofessional Appreciation Day 2025 at Reed Elementary School. We are deeply grateful for all our paraprofessionals. They are instrumental in keeping our school running smoothly at Reed.
A $5 admission fee will be collected at the door. DO NOT SEND MONEY IN ADVANCE.

ANNOUNCEMENT
DUE TO A RECENT RULING FROM THE ARKANSAS DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION/DEPARTMENT OF ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY EDUCATION (ADE/DESE), DISTRICTS ON A TRADITIONAL CALENDAR CAN NO LONGER ADD MINUTES TO THE INSTRUCTIONAL DAY BY DECREASING TRANSITIONAL
TIME BETWEEN CLASS CHANGES.
THIS DECISION IMPACTS THE DUMAS SCHOOL DISTRICT.
CONSEQUENTLY, TO MAKE UP FOR DAYS MISSED DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER, DUMAS SCHOOL DISTRICT MUST ADD TWO DAYS TO THE END OF THE SCHOOL CALENDAR.
THE LAST DAY OF SCHOOL FOR THIS SCHOOL YEAR WILL BE MAY 28, 2025.

A gecko named Ember visited Reed on campus. Our first-grade student was engaged in a lesson about the lifespan of geckos. The students were amazed by the gecko's ability to camouflage in response to fear. Each student actively participated in a discussion about their learning experience.
