The Dumas School District will operate on a 1 hour delay tomorrow, January 23, 2024. There are still a few rural roads covered with ice where buses may not be able to travel. In this case, the district ask that parents transport their children to the end of the road for pickup. Buses will travel as many city street routes as possible. Please be patient with bus drivers as they do their best to make sure students arrive safely.


Due to hazardous road conditions, the Dumas school district will remain closed Monday, January 22.

Reed Elementary will have the second nine weeks awards assembly on January 19th, 2024.
Awards for each grade will be held during the following times in the Reed Gymnasium:
3rd Grade - 9:00 am
5th Grade - 10:00 am
4th Grade - 11:00 am


Reminder: DSD will be closed on Monday January 15th, 2024 in observance of MLK Day.


Quick Reminder:
There will be NO School Monday, January 8th due to staff professional development. Classes will resume on Tuesday, January 9th.

This Tuesday, December 19th, Reed Elementary had it's Holiday Music Program. Thank you to all of the parents, family, friends, and community members for supporting these young musicians! Last Thursday, Mrs. Gamez and Mrs. Mireya held ESL Family Bingo Night on the Reed Elementary campus! Students were able to spend time with their families and play games. Everyone in attendance had a blast, ate pizza, and won prizes. There were student volunteers from Dumas High School helping with activities as well. There are GREAT things happening in Bobcat Land! #GoCatsGo #EverythingMatters

Reed Elementary 4th grade science students, with their science project. Their volcanos were active and erupting throughout the week. Some even had dormant volcanoes. Great job 4th grade students and staff.









Reed Elementary would like to thank Dr. Michael K. Daugherty, from the University of Arkansas, for coming down to visit our staff and students working in our updated science lab. We are thankful for the equipment the S.T.E.A.M program has provident for our students.



Reed Elementary would like to thank The SEARK Concert Association for bringing some amazing music to our students this morning. We are thankful for this opportunity for our students to experience live music! As always, it is a GREAT day to be a Bobcat.
