Congratulations to MS Band Director Maria Lopez and DMS Band!! Students competed in a regional concert contest on Tuesday, March 10. They received EXCELLENT ratings on stage and a SUPERIOR in sight reading. They will have a new plaque to add to our band hall. Great job!

Dumas Schools hosted Migrant Family Night on December 9, 2025.

Migrant families enjoyed a night filled with informational topics, community support along with Bingo, dinner and book give away for students! It was a great time for all that came out! Thank you to all that participated and offered support! We are better together!

With a focus on strengthening instruction, the Dumas Public School District has partnered with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), to provide instructional support via a High Quality Learning Provider.
Summer professional development was hosted with two full days for each campus followed by a fall session in a district-wide PD held on October 10, 2025.
Wil Redmond, Lead TNTP Senior Manager, Jordunn Saladino and Dorian Myers led sessions for Reed Elementary, Dumas Middle School and Dumas High School.
