
Dumas High School and Dumas Middle School will adjust bell schedules to make up for the inclement weather day, January 10, 2025. Both campuses start time will be 7:55 a.m., instead of 8:00 a.m. The schedule adjustments will begin Monday, February 10, 2025 and end Friday, March 7, 2025 which is the end of the 3rd Quarter. Reed Elementary start time will remain the same.

It is Flu season and COVID is always lurking around. To help prevent the spread of germs and keep our students and staff as healthy as possible please be aware of the following:
• If your child has a fever, please keep them home. They can return after being fever free for 24 hours WITHOUT fever reducing medications.
• If your student is vomiting, please keep them home. They can return after being vomit free for 24 hours.
• If your student is coughing to the point they are gagging or vomiting, please keep them home.
• Good hand washing is a necessity. Use soap and water and hand sanitizer frequently.
• Use tissues and keep coughs covered. If you cover your mouth with your hands, when coughing or sneezing, wash or sanitize.
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
• Avoid sharing food and drinks
• Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces.
We will be working hard to keep our buildings clean for our students and staff! Stay safe everyone!

The Dumas School District will be closed on Monday, January 20, 2025 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Classes will resume on Tuesday, January 21, 2025.



School Picture Day for DMS is January 14th 2025


Due to Winter Storm Warning being issued for our area with significant impacts expected DSD will release early today January 9th and will be closed January 10th to err on the side of caution to ensure safety for all students and staff.

Being weather aware


DSD School Resource officers have asked that during home basketball games all Dumas School District students sit in the student section, unless they are sitting with a parent. The lobby area and bathrooms should be clear of spectators standing by. No Student of the DSD is permitted to be on the visitors side of the bleachers at anytime.

Come out and support our Middle School and High School choirs on their concert tonight at 6:30 pm. Then come out and support the DMS and DHS bands on their concert at 6:30 pm on Dec. 17. Enjoy two wonderful nights of music with our very own young musicians.


The Parent Center will have extended hours beginning on Tuesday, December 9, 2024. They will be on Mondays and Tuesdays from 3:30-5:30 pm.


The Dumas School District will have early dismissal (1:30 pm) on December 9. 2024 for Teacher Professional Development.

Attention Parents!! Dumas Middle School is handing out progress reports to the students today 11-15-2024.


Important Announcement: The Board meeting originally scheduled for Tuesday, November 19, 2024 has been rescheduled to Thursday, November 21, 2024.


IMPORTANT Information regarding the Harmony Grove Playoff Game.
Admission will be through gofan for anyone school age and up. Only AAA passes will be accepted. There will be no outside food or drink through the gate. The visitor gate is on the north end of the field in the corner of the arena (ticket window right past the gate). This is where we would like for visiting fans to validate their tickets and enter.
Current AAA rules will be enforced at all times when applicable. State laws and school policies will be in effect concerning alcoholic beverages, controlled substances, and weapons. Spectators may not be allowed on the field after the game.
Only students/coaches of school organized activities are to be on the field. There will also be no spectators allowed on the track inside the fences/gates around the field
