Parents,
Please make sure your child is dressed for school in clothes appropriate for the frigid temperatures we will have this week. Not only does this include a coat that fits, but also pants and long sleeve shirts/ sweaters, warm socks and dry shoes.
If we get snow or ice that causes school to be delayed or closed, we will post an announcement here as soon as a decision is made. Be safe and stay warm this week, and we can't wait to see everyone tomorrow!
DSD School Resource officers have asked that during home basketball games all Dumas School District students sit in the student section, unless they are sitting with a parent. The lobby area and bathrooms should be clear of spectators standing by. No Student of the DSD is permitted to be on the visitors side of the bleachers at anytime.
DSD will be out of school December 23rd, 2024 through January 3rd. 2025. Teachers will return on January 6th for Professional Development and students will return on January 7th for regular class schedules. Happy Holidays!!

The Parent Center will have extended hours beginning on Tuesday, December 9, 2024. They will be on Mondays and Tuesdays from 3:30-5:30 pm.
The Dumas School District will have early dismissal (1:30 pm) on December 9. 2024 for Teacher Professional Development.

Important Announcement: The Board meeting originally scheduled for Tuesday, November 19, 2024 has been rescheduled to Thursday, November 21, 2024.
IMPORTANT Information regarding the Harmony Grove Playoff Game.
Admission will be through gofan for anyone school age and up. Only AAA passes will be accepted. There will be no outside food or drink through the gate. The visitor gate is on the north end of the field in the corner of the arena (ticket window right past the gate). This is where we would like for visiting fans to validate their tickets and enter.
Current AAA rules will be enforced at all times when applicable. State laws and school policies will be in effect concerning alcoholic beverages, controlled substances, and weapons. Spectators may not be allowed on the field after the game.
Only students/coaches of school organized activities are to be on the field. There will also be no spectators allowed on the track inside the fences/gates around the field

Dear Parents,
We will begin a holiday canned food drive next week at Reed
Elementary to help our local food pantry in Dumas. Canned goods and other non-perishable food items can be brought to school Monday, November 4, until Friday, November 15.
This is an excellent opportunity for our students to learn about compassion and helping others, especially during the upcoming holiday season.
