The Dumas Public School District and the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) have committed to ensuring that opportunities for checkpoints of student learning are a part of our practices.
Checkpoints of learning will continue to be a part of classroom practices by teachers. In addition to the classroom collection of data, the following required assessments will be administered to students to assess performance expectations of students at each grade level.
New state assessments this year include the ATLAS K-3 English Language Arts screener and the ATLAS K-2
Math screener. Based on performance levels, students will receive support and/or extensions based on regulations set forth by the state of Arkansas. Please see the table below for an overview of the assessments by grade level.
